The Washington Military Department, specifically the National Guard and the Emergency Management Division, will join with local, state, and federal officials to operate the Olympic Coordination Center (OCC) in Bellingham, Washington. The OCC will operate during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and the 2010 Paralympic Games. The OCC will coordinate prevention and response activities in Washington and along the northern border region that might affect the Games.
