Fire Management Assistance Grant Program (FMAGP) Closure
After an applicant’s grant is approved and payment is made, their grant is closed. When all applicants are closed, the fire is closed. Federal regulations provide that the fire closure will occur within nine months of the incident period; but if FEMA has not approved funding within this time period, EMD will request a three month time extension.
