Columbia Generating Station and U.S. Department of Energy - Richland

Should a radiological incident or other incidents occur which effect the operation of the Columbia Generating Station (CGS) Nuclear Power Plant, operated by Energy Northwest, or the US Department of Energy - Richland facilities; prompt notification to the state and local authorities is required. To meet and support this need, both Energy Northwest and Department of Energy, Richland have established dedicated hot lines.

Transported to the state EOC via the Washington State Patrol microwave radio system, the hot lines include:

From Columbia Generating Station: 
  • 1- Crash Line
  • 2- Select Dial Lines
  • 1- Facsimile Line

From US Department of Energy:

  • 1- Crash Line

  • 1 - Select-Dial Line to DOE ONC*

  • 1 - Facsimile Line
