March is Convective Weather Awareness Month

The convective weather season is underway as March marks the start of the season for our region. Convective weather, also known as severe weather, can cause hazardous conditions that may be life-threatening, cause disruption to services, and cause significant property damage.

Convective weather can include severe thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, damaging winds, flooding and even tornadoes. Learn more about this season and the steps you can take to protect yourself, your loved ones and your property.
